Bought a T-1625 at BB last night, I returned my Acer Extensa 4420 and got this one. Couldn't wait to get it home & play with it. Its great but here's my problems with it. The screen looks "grainy". Shadowy. I don't know if it's from going from an Acer w/brightview or if it's just a charectaristic of this screen. Light/white areas are filled with little black grainy shadows. Can't stand it.

Also it runs HOT, all the time. Not warm, hot! I bet I could pop popcorn if I sat a bag next to this ever-running heat blower. And it blows right onto my leg, where this laptop will sit 99% of the time.

And of course, the DVD player doesn't work. How I hate Windows Media Player.

If you have any advice on these issues I'd really appreciate it. Thanks :)

I bought the same laptop from BestBuy on Sunday. I agree it runs hot. but I have not had any of the problems with the DVD player. I did all the windows updates and that was it. The screen can be a little dark or light depending on the viewing angle. This can be a pain.
Other then that I love it so far.
