I had a daily routine which worked for 2-3 years:

When I finish working at night I put the laptop in standby mode.
In the morning I open the lid and it prompts me for the password.
I enter the pw and I get to where I left it.

A few days ago this stopped working. The laptop enters standby,
but in the morning when I open the lid, the blue led on the power
is onbutton, but the screen does not come up. The only solution
is to press it to shut the laptop down then press the button next
to it (which has an arrow on it) and boot it from scratch.

There were no changes that I am aware of. I am running XP Prof 64bit
SP2 with all the latest fixes.

    Any ideas?
