I bought my t1620 on black friday at BB last year. when i first got it i notice just one dead pixel. in the past six months the problem has grown. the bottom right hand corner now appears to have "freckles". dunno how else to say it. any other gateway owners noticing this or is it just mine?

It is probably just your laptop, since it originally had a dead pixel out of the box.

Most often you cannot fix a "dead" pixel, the ones that are always dark. I don't believe that you can, personally, but some have said they've done it with good success. So it's worth a shot. Here's an article about how to fix dead/stuck pixels. http://www.wikihow.com/Fix-a-Stuck-Pixel-on-an-LCD-Monitor
