I just wanted to share my settings with anyone who has a stock cpu in these models.

I have messed around with the settings and have TES: Skyrim playing on my P-7805u fx with no problems except for a micro lag every once in awhile (which I suspect is a load lag when I leave cities or before I enter caves ect.).

My settings are as follows: I have the game ticked to medium (Textures still on high) fxaa off, all reflections ticked, Radial blur low, shadow and decal set to medium, running 285.79 at 1440x900 with AA off and Anisotropic Filtering set to 8 samples.

Along with my nvidia control panel settings and my mods the game runs flawlessly. If you want to know my control panel settings search my other post.

I hope this helps someone else with any problem running Skyrim, like I stated before I am running this game on a stock cpu, so anyone with a stock hardware in their system should benefit from these settings.

Running Skyrim Maxed out on my Lappy with and x9100 Cpu upgrade, installed the game on my Samsung 64gb SSD. Loading times are almost non-existent.

You can see my settings in the Video: Skyrim running Maxed on P7805u Laptop - YouTube

Get about 35 fps in outer areas, and in the Golden Claw dungeon I was getting 45-60 fps. As you can see in the video the game runs incredibly smooth and without any hiccups or breaks in gameplay. Makes the whole experience that much more immersive.

I did some tweaks to upscale the shadows to 2048 and sharpen them further today. Also changed the FOV with an in-game command "FOV 90". Game is phenomenal under every aspect. I'm using 285.67 desktop drivers.

So happy to have bought a wireless 360 controller as well, I am so comfy playing from my couch :D

    Running at 1920x1200 here on a P-7801u with a upgraded X9100 processor.

    >>Settings<<

    Indoors: 35-60 fps.
    Outdoors: 30-55 fps.

Anyone experiencing lag when looking at lights? I'm curious to find out why fps drops and which setting I have to adjust to compensate for it.

Check this one out, I got all settings on Ultra and 2k textures + other graphical mods. Game looks insanely good (much better than is seen from my camera) with no rainbow effect like you see a bit of in the video.

I am also having problems with HDD lag.
There is a framerate dropdown but not due to 9800gts performance but hard disk reading.
    DOnt know what to do.

SSDs FTW! Run all my latest most played games off a Samsung 64 gig ssd I bought for only 100 bucks and I have insignificant load times in all those games. Fantastic upgrade, recommend it heartily.

Some Pics of Andros's adventures in Skyrim ;)
1920x1200, maxed with High Textures DLC and other graphics mods including High Texture Waters and Lighting Realism mods.
Game runs suprisingly well @ the high resolution. I had gotten used to playing in 1280x720 on my Projector and forgot that this GPU can handle max resolution just fine. Get an average of 35 fps outdoors and 45-55 indoors except in areas with multiple light sources, where it can dip in the mid 30's.
