    Here I will keep 3DMARK06 records for the few highest scoring members of each Gateway FX category; P68XX, 7811, M68XX, MCXXXX and 780X.

    RULES:
    -Must post screenshot of score with your system's corresponding specifications IN THE SAME SCREENSHOT.
    -The top three highest scores of each category will be listed on the original post, this is to encourage competitive system pushing, these are, after all, GAMING notebooks.
    -All benchmarks must be done on the software's default settings; 1280x800, 0xAA, Optimal filtering, etc.
    -Must post benchmarks of the models listed, if you feel like your model series deserves a category of it's own, send me a PM.
    -ALL hardware modifications allowed
    -ALL system tweaks allowed (Overclocking)
    -ALL drivers allowed
    -I will not be listing all system tweaks along with user's benchmarks, if you are curious as to how someone attained the score they got, PM them please.

    Let the benching begin!:laugh:

    nice score, i kind of regret now for not getting X7800. Does T9500s 2MB more cache makes up the diff of X7800 OC?

    I think the t9500 is on a different platform. The t9500 has more l2 cache, uses 45 nanometer technology and has a lower wattage consumption, which means it should run cooler and as efficiently (if not more efficient) than the x7800 in all fields except for encoding (where clock speeds matter most).

    i meant T9300 (highest that can be slapped on 6860 right?). not looking for xtreme performance, since i like it with t5550 stock, the t9300 boost will be sufficient for my usage. great thread.

    I actually didn't take a screen of that score (pissed me off) so i ran another test immediately after and it was very close so when i get home I'll post the screen of that, hell I might even try again to match my score.

    [IMG]

    Ok here is the one that I was talking about, its only a few points shy of my high but since i didn't take a screen shot of it use this score, oh and all stock just heavy overclock.

    I have a T9300 and I got ~8900 last time I tested 3dmark06 @ 1280x1024. I didn't take a screencap (so it must not've happened :p ), and I'm not connecting an external monitor again just to benchmark.

    I think I was using 650/950/1495 clocks. Though for everyday use I tone it down to 625/925/1475. I'd probably get ~8800 with these clocks. I know that idiotpilot is using higher clocks than mine.

    Do you have a cooler? Try out those newest xfastest drivers. Great scores everyone, I'll rep everyone for helping keep this thing up, i want to see how far people can push each model.

    I don't have any notebook cooler, nor do I have any intention of ever using one. Too much of a hassle for me. My 6860 seems to do just fine sitting on any flat surface. Not even any of that "propping up the rear an inch" that seems to be popular around here.

    I like dabbling in gpu oc'ing, but I'm not as hardcore as some of you, who like trying to find the absolute final threshold that doesn't lock up the system.

    I'll hook up an external monitor this weekend to run at 1280x1024 and report back.

    I have changed all my thermal paste with IC7. That means on GPU and on CPU. At that point the NB thermal pad was still on, but now i have changed it with IC7 as well.

    Can you give me the numbers of the videocard OC? The memory, shader and core... and what drivers did you use?

    The driver i use is the nvidia 179.28 and I don't remember the exact clocks but I can tell you it was a little more for each one than 750/1000/1900, like i said i don't remember exactly how much higher i went I just remember that the clocks were a little higher than that.

    nvidia 179.28 was a good driver until I found nvidia 179.48.
    With 179.48 I got 10683pts on 3dmark06.

    Here's an update on my NEWEST 7805u.
    9414 3dmarks and oc'd to 710-950-1750

    http://i42.tinypic.com/wkka6s.jpg
    I'm not sure why I was getting a 9k score with no oc with my old 7805..
    I think it might be the 179.24 drivers. And I want to say I pulled 9695 with a oc.

    After undervolting to 1.0 (the lowest I could get it stable), updated drivers, and lowering/turning off everything I could in Vista, I got:

    M 6864FX
    3629 score

    HUGE difference, almost 1300 points for 8 hours of fiddling at work. Might try overclocking GPU a little to see if I can hit 4000.

    I see you have the 1440x900 display, as it runs the bench in 1280x800 rather than the 1280x1024 you will get better scores............

    Any news about the quad core yet?

    Ok to end confusion, I purchased the 3dmark06 Pro, here is what I got

    1280x1024 = 10211

    1280x800 = 10799

    Edit; native, I don't have 1440x900 to run....... :(

    1920x1200 = 8183
