I have a Gateway FX computer and a 720p samsung 42" Plasma. I have had the 2 hooked up via HDMI for over a year. I have formatted and reinstalled vista and win7 multiple times and have never had a problem, and even on other T.Vs no Problem. I formatted and reinstalled win7 recently and have installed all my codecs and everything else I usually do but this time no go... It wont detect when i plug HDMI in the laptop but usb, SATA and all other ports on laptop work. I tried the fn+f5 with no luck. ive tried 3 cords with 3 diff ports and 360 and ps3, so its my laptop, i just don't understand what else to try.Very stumped, very angry, Any and all help would be great.

    Thx

Have you tried reinstalling the nvidia driver? Are you perhaps using a beta driver?

Have you tried older drivers or modded drivers (i.e. Laptop2Go)?

Maybe you can try to run a live CD and see if the HDMI port is detected and working that way. (shrugs)
