    Does anybody have the 9.3 drivers installed in their gateway m series laptops or any laptop with ati graphics.
    If u do, did u see any performance boost from the old drivers like the 8.12-9.2 divers.And how did u installed them.I have the 8.12 drivers so im pretty curious about performance boost.

    The Mobility Modder can't modify 9.x series drivers. If you go to their forums you will find a beta release of the modder that can do it.

    Also this policy that nv and ati have with mobile driver is insulting. They do advertise themselves on the laptop with a sticker but refuse to support their video card.

    There is potentially a reason for why they do it. It prolly has to do with warranty. If the video fails you go to laptop maker not ATi to fix it. So they give the laptop manufacturer the responsibility of handling it because they can choose to use a crappy thermal solution and underclock the card for example while still selling it as an ATI Radeon whatever.

    But at the end this still is a problem without a tool to mod their drivers the consumer is stuck. The laptop maker has very little incentive to keep drivers updated themselves.

    Nvidia now support notebook drivers, Ati on the other hand do not!
