    I don't understand what's the point of these DIY laptops. You can only configure the cpu, hard drive, and the amount of ram. These configurations are all available from manufacturers. You can't even change the screen. You're stuck with the 1280*800 lcd they give you.

    umm.. that 15" DIY may be a bit different, but the OCZ 17" Whitebook you configure it to your liking. Oh, and by the way.. Alienware is now promoting the Arima/Flextronics/OCZ Whitebook 17" rig as the M17. The same rig in my sig, and you build it yourself online. However, it will cost just a tad more than XoticPC.com cause of the taxes.. Xotic doesn't charge tax. Also, 3 yr warranty with Xotic vs 1 year with Aware. But, if y'all wanna see the new hotness gone commercial, visit Aware's website. :)

    Strictly speaking, Xoticpc doesn't charge tax if you are not in Nebraska. It still charges tax.

    OK, my bad.. if you're not in po-dunk Nebreaska, then ya don't pay tax. So, 49 in 50 of you will not have to worry bout the taxes.
