This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Yes, I tried "search"

    I'm looking for a thread where someone posted their techiniques for optimizing performance. The thread had things to disable in Vista, even a recommended desktop/background/screen saver that matched the FX color scheme.

    I can't seem to find it, although I remember reading it the other day and planning to use it on my laptop. Maybe I'm a bit overtired or distracted, but I'm getting frustrated. Any help here?
