Now the 6860 is on sale for 1100. Went to best buy (my new employer starting friday) and tried to get them to do a refund. Said the computer wont let them since it had been past 14 days. I think I have had it 3 weeks this friday.
Fairly aggrivating for me because I spent all of my graduation money and some of my paycheck to get this thing. Having a new Ram 1500 and the 4.00 gas isn't too nice eathier.
It's just very aggrivating. You would think they would be a little flexible.

I got mine about 6 weeks ago and i wish i could get the extra 150 off as well... but its nothing to be mad about. Its just the way Tech goes. no matter what you buy your more than likely going to find it at a stupidly huge discount with in the next few months as the newer and better stuff is released.
The first desktop i bought cost 2600 dollars with its 13in CRT screen (but it had color!) 4mb of RAM and 120ish mb of hard drive... imagine what i can could get with that 2600 today...and in 19 more years the 2600 dollar system i bought today would be antiquated junk as well.
Tech inevitablly gets cheaper, so you are always going to feel a little jaded no matter what you buy...from a POS dell to a high end Clevo -
I feel where your coming from, but think of it like this. Even at the original cost, you STILL have an awesome machine for almost a grand less than its nearest competitor. In other words, youre still making out like a champ.
-
cant u return the machine if it is still within 30 days? ask to talk to a manager tell them that if they will not give you that extra discount you want to return the machine and re purchase.
-
they probably wouldn't let you return then buy the same product in the same store, they would make you do an exchange, which probably wouldn't have the discount.but thats just my opinion.
-
walk back to were the notebooks are kept, pick up a new one.
walk to cash register, pay, leave.
what are they gunna do, refuse to take your money at the cash register?
you dont even have to tell them what u are doing. -
The rule at BB has always been 14 days, maybe you can manage to return it by paying a restocking fee.
If you would've done a little research you would've found out that the 6860fx goes constantly on sale for that price.
I would be a little mad too but its just bad timing. -
..you are within the 30 day price protection so you can get some gas money back.
Love my new 6 cyl truck...if gas keeps going up ti's rickshaw time baby! -
Hey try putting gas in my SRT-10 quad cab LOL...................................
It's only 100 dollars right -
I am in the same situation. I bought my 6860 3 weeks ago and they wont nudge on their stupid policy. -
So all the research in the world would not have helped. I did wait until it was on Sale for the regular 1249 but still got jipped when it went on sale 3 weeks later at 1099. -
Or you could move to Venezuela where gas is only 15 cents a gallon. Or to England where gas is 8 Dollars a gallon.
-
Odd, I was "verbally" told 30 day price match but web site says 15 days on select items which includes laptops. There seems to be a store to store policy as stated.
This laptop was once $1599 after first sale..wonder if anyone bought at that price.

haha...i was ready to buy it on the 1249 offer but i jumped right after seeing it for 1099.great buy from best buy!!!
-
I was able to price match all 3 of my laptops after the 15 day policy. When you go in see if you can find one of the stupid associates to help you. Then tell them to run it as a full return and then ring it up at the new price. That way the system wont reject it as price match policy.
