I was just noticing how LONG some of these stickies up at the top have gotten. I'm particularly interested in the whole GPU overclocking, Ntune, updated drivers situation but 90+ pages of reading where most of the stuff is 1-2 years outdated seems a bit unnecessary. Anyone care to enlighten everyone on some of the newer steps/processes that are required? Of particular interest to me is how to properly remove the old drivers/software and what may be some of the pro's and con's of the aftermarket drivers that are available.

    Thanks
    Z

Does anyone have any input on this? Or any info on the situation?

as for driver solution, I just use 258.96 official release from nvidia for mobile gpu. Seems to be working fine and I don't notice much difference against previous driver.

As for overclocking, there is no difference with ntune, one_j has pretty nice guide already. Although rivatuner hasn't been updated over a year, there is way to add modified driver inf to support current driver.

Use driver sweeper to remove old nvidia drivers in safe mode.

Well come to find out Ntune is no longer and it is now just Nvidia system tools. All I'm saying is for people that are buying these awesome laptops and are looking to get the best out of them it might be time to update the stickies or at the least delete some of the posts in them that are more chat than actual technical info or how to. No one wants to read through 100+ pgs of chat with tidbits of info, most of which is outdated.
