This past weekend I attended a spur of the moment LAN party at a friend's house. I showed up, thinking I was all cool with my brand new FX Gaming laptop.
It turns out that every person at the LAN had one. I have been saying for the longest time that the future of LAN parties is going to be Gaming Laptops, but this was a rather surprising experience.

I had a great time and the machine ran great (except for the heat this thing generates...I am going to have to get/fabricate a cooler for it).

haha that's funny. It's a very popular budget gaming laptop. There's a reason it's always sold out!

Awesome!
I remember one time at a lanparty; everyone had their huge desktop machines, and I had my Sager 5680. Well, with 30 people in the house, the breaker tripped several times. Needless to say, I was the only one who never got kicked...It was a good time.

That is true, built in battery backup
