    Hello everyone.

I was wondering if anyone has been using Ubuntu 10.04 on the 7915u? This will help me in finding out whether the installation problems I have had are isolated to my laptop or if its all 7915u's in general.

I have installed Ubuntu at least three different times but I can never get it to boot with a ton of SATA errors (in the form of ata1.0 errors).

I'm thinking that Ubuntu may not be compatible with my OCZ Agility 64gb SSD but I'm much more willing to stay with my SSD and Windows 7 than have to take out the drive just to run Ubuntu. In turn, I tried to install it to a secondary hard drive (the 7200 rpm drive that came with the laptop) but the same errors still come up.

Maybe try installing it with Wubi first. If it doesn't work you can simply uninstall with add/remove. I installed on 7811 and it worked fine but I do not have SSD. It does run hot even with appearance on basic.
