    Hi i have bin reading up on the Gateway P-7805u and have noticed people undervolting there laptop dose this not make them slower? can anyone tell why people are doing this and what it dose? :confused:

    If the cpu can be stable at a lesser cpu volt the benefits is a cooler cpu, so less heat

    underclocking is what makes them slower, not undervolting.

    He asked if undervolting will make it slower, so the answer is no. Yes if you underclock the cpu. Does the 7805 have a bios setting to change cpu voltage ?

    Cooler is better now i still cant make my mind up if i want the gateway or the MSI laptop :(

    No, have to use a program like RM Clock.
