A while back I did an undervolt on my laptop here and somehow I feel it has been reverted because the stupid fan is doing the repeat and I've seen a sharp decrease in performance compared to when it was undervolted.

My question is could it be reverted somehow maybe by auto-updates? Also where could I find a good guide to redoing it I can't seem to find the same thread as before.

I still have the files on my flash drive the 7805.rom nvflash.exe etc. I'd like to use something with them because of the stellar results last time.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

if you did flash it i dont think its possible to have it revert unless it was included in a bios update and you updated that. my hunch though tells me you just have a dust build up in the gpu heatsink and fan. this kinda build up can cause you gpu to get even hotter since all those dust bunnies act as a sort of insulation keeping the heat in. that cause your more frequent fan issues. if it gets dusty enough or even if hair strands get in there they can slow a fan down making it less effective. ive seen some computers that have had a fan completely stop because of a few hair strands wound up on the fans shaft.

anyway these are a few things to consider but you could always do a video bios dump and check it to see if the undervolt reverted. there should be no risk in doing that because all you should be doing is reading the bios and not altering it.
