    Guys especially E-wreck,

May I ask how you got to 1.215V to stabilize your X9100 in 7811FX? I am actually running Prime 95 in an hour or two, peaked at 68C without any problems with 1.1625V. Well I am gonna try Orthos later, but Prime should be enough to stress test the CPU right? The only thing I am having problem with is that when I tried one of the Japanese games(Dynasty Warriors 6) in PC(Directx 10), 1900x1200 gave me good framerates but sometimes it's dropped all the way to 5-10 fps, but it would go back up (right after 3 to 5 sec). It's happening kind of random. Tried to swap the NV drivers, didn't OC in nTune, observed the temp peaked at about 47-50C load in that game. Any ideas? I am actually thinking if I am UVing the CPU too much.

    What temperatures are you getting?

Does it persist when you disable UV'ing?

Haven't tried anything higher than 1.1625V :), but I can give it a shot right now. Now the temps are idle 30C, load(w/ Prime 95) 68C. I wanna get it as low as possible to make the temp lowest ever.

If I make it 1.3125V(disable UV), the temp goes all the way up to 80C, Prime doesn't give me any errors too, but the machine is getting much hotter. With 1.1625V, I never got it over 50C with most of the app except benchmarking programs.

its because the TZS0 sensor hits 98c and makes the CPU throttle its a bug or atleast we believe it is one . E-wrecked has the same problem you do . Run HW monitor and run a game and when it starts to chug alt tab out and take a look at your TZS0 and see what it says.

    Hello Quadzilla,

    http://forums.hmonitor.net/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=104&p=390#p390

I have a problem with self-signed drivers....May I ask what the following phrase should go to? Some kind of cfg file or target....?

    bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON

umm.. thats something you would type in the cmd prompt. I've never had any luck, personally..but signed drivers arent an issue. You just force the install and tell Vista to ignore it, and install anyhow.

If you use RMClock to undervolt, your TZS0 will still likely hit 98c when running intense CPU & GPU processes but the CPU will not downthrottle. If the CPU is stressed, it won't cause TZS0 to trip. Only if GPU and CPU are being stressed simultaneously. I.E. - Crysis, COD, any game on the market, 3dmark.. The computer just can't handle the power consumption.

Sorry, was not paying attention while typin. But, RMClock stops any downthrottle of CPU from TZS0. However, with the x9100 it will only allow a 11x multiplier..but you'll never miss the 11.5, its a minor sacrafice for a major gain of stability. So, the only solution I have found is RMClock..otherwise your going to have issues.

qx9300 is soon to be released..and it will give the x9100 a run for it's money. But, only if the program is made to use a multi-threaded 4 core CPU will you get the best results. Anyhow, the x9100 is the top of the line dual core..yea. Google it and get together about $1000 :)

umm..mine isnt a foreign ES. Mine is a retail model that actually includes a warranty from Intel. ES wasn't even available when I got it. Heck, I had it delivered a week after the thing was available to the public. Not like it matters..the ES will perform(hopefully) the same. But, mine didnt have to be shipped from overseas..it was a local retailer.

royk, it's being sent to production today.. they said 3-7 day production to shipping time. I spent an extra $109 just for the one day delivery. Heck, they don't have to build the rig..I'm doing that part. The only thing they gotta put in is Btooth, wifi, and turbo memory. Everything else is my own parts. Anyhow, it should be here soon :) I'd guess Monday or Tues. And I hope you're right bout the CF thing.. I'm hesitant with ATI.. kinda like, poppin my cherry..if I ever had one..

    Hey guys...

Actually I observed my TZS0 after I installed Crysis. I didn't do any overclocking, and I could play the game at about 25-40FPS with all eye candies set at 'HIGH' except the two (Shader and Shadow both at medium) at 1280x768. In Crysis, the TZS0 got all the way to about 70C, never went up to 98C. Is it what you got, E-wreck?

And the good news about my computer is... I haven't seen the TZS0 getting up to 98C, but I am not sure if it's because I enable the UV and turn on the RightMark CPU Utility all the time. And yes, the multiplier is 11 instead of 11.5.

Heee...Actually I know whom you guys have been talking about for X9100 coz I bought mine from him too. and I knew the story well about the tragedy of Q9100 from Quadzilla.

Sorry Quadzilla but your effort made us believe we will always have a brighter tmr.

Angel, did you RMClock with Crysis? And my TZS0 peaks @ 70-71c as well.. unless I try to push the system :)

E-wrecked, yes, I did RMClock with Crysis. The fact is whenever the system is on, RMClock is always on coz I know the ES CPUs will not be able to control the temp easily. I used to have Asus G1S-X1 with X7800 on it, and I had to turn on the RMClock all the time or the multipliers will flip flop between 6 and 13(as far as I remember). G1S-X1 is not supposed to support X7800, but I did try to install that and it worked. And I sold that G1S-X1 after I got the 7811FX. Still lovin' it!

I'm considering a P9500. At $365 (newegg) it gives a decent boost over the P8400 for the $$$ (Sorry, I don't have $1K+ to spend on a X9100 and &deity only knows what sort of torture they've done to those ES chips you see on ebay) Anyone know what the multiplier is on one of those? I figure if I do that, I'll do the copper plate mod on the firmware at the same time.

As for TZS0, What I have seen is a sudden and instantaneous spike to 98C (from 48C) while running Crysis during firefights. Framerate plummets, I die, temperature drops. This is with no overclocking of either GPU or CPU on a 2888 system. I saw it happen a couple of times after I got the 2888 system. Sadly, I have not played Crysis since. With other activity, I have seen TZS0 go up to 53C with no problem.

EDIT: Clock multiplier is 10 on P9500 according to http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Core_...bile P9500 AW80576SH0616M (BX80576P9500).html So I should be able to use RMClock with full multiplier while supressing the TZS0 throttle, yes? Anyone? Beuller? Anyone?

Yes. As long as it doesn't use a half multiplier RMClock will prevent ACPI from force downthrottling your CPU, and you'll receive the full benefit of your CPU. Maybe one day RMClock will provide an update and support the .5 multiplers...one day. Just make sure when you run RMClock you run performance on demand, and don't allow it to integrate with Windows Power Settings.. just let it override them. fiziks, the P9500 is a good deal.. but you're spendin 365..throw in $30 more and get this. Buy It Now for $399, T9600.. same cache, but it also gives ya 2.8 GHz..
