    Are these drives capable of playing US Blu-Ray discs. I noticed the sellers are coming out of China and Korea.

    All DVD and Blu-ray Drives are (User Region Set)

    What i mean by this is you get to Choose your region up to 5 times on your optical drive

    If you look Under your (Device manager) DVD/CD drives (Under regions Should tell you more about it

    ok so i was wondering... if i upgrade my drive to blue ray...(i have the 7805) could i still play video games on it even if there all dvd's?

    Yes.

    The B-R drives for PCs are also capable of reading (and writing) to DVDs and CDs.

    The exact specs should be shown with the particular drive.
