    Updating the Bios on Gateway UC7807u

    Hi, this is my first time posting. I don't know where else to look for this kind of problem I'm having and Gateway support hasn't helped at all.

    I've been trying to update the bios on my Gateway U Series UC7807u for the past 2 weeks a number of ways. First I tried to use the Bios Flash utility Gateway offered with the bios update download. That did not work as you can see by the attached image it says both versions have the same date so it wont let me flash.

    Next I have tried the Easy Flash utility in the bios, I cannot find the bios file in that utility. Gateway had suggested that I put all the files on a usb drive and boot from the drive, I tried that as well and it wont work.

    Has anyone encountered this issue with Gateway bios update? Is it worth even trying to update the bios on this machine? Are there any tips on flashing the bios in Easy Flash or another utility?

    Their support has been lackluster, I really don't think they understand what I'm trying to do.
