The P7805U comes with 4GB DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500). I want to upgrade the ram to DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666). Will the motherboard recognize the DDR3 1333? I went into the BIOS and cannot find any settings for memory upgrading. I don't want to waste the money buying the ram if the motherboard will not support it.
thanks...

You would be wasting your money as is.
CPU is topped out at 1066 and the 7805u FSB OC options are basically nil.
The only possible advantage is if the 1066 timings (which the 1333 memory would default to), are tighter than the 1066 memory in the unit atm but I doubt it. -
yep what he said.
but you might want be the first to try 8gb... -

yeah that's what i was thinking, then we can confirm if it can use 8gb or not. other than that it would be waste of money bc or ram is perfectly fine.

8GB, lol, the price is plummeting on that... 1700 bucks less than 2 months ago, now a much more reasonable 1000 for a kit...

I knew it was expensive before I looked but I didn't realize it was THAT expensive...

I am interested in 8GB for RAM as well. I know the chipset can support it, but the specifications say a max of 4 GB.

1333 ram is a bit of a waste, i dont think laptops are anywhere near filling out the 1066 bandwidth let along going further than that... just a bit useless.
Kinda like low latency ram. Just doesnt really do anythign for you
(bring on Nehelam 6-12gb of ram support)
