    I have a MX7525 with an Athlon 64.

I am wanting to upgrade to XP 64, what will I need to backup onto a dvd so I dont have problems with quick launch buttons working and things of that nature?

I would recommend a dual boot install on a new partition and TEST how it goes first....there is no 64bit audio driver for MX75XX series yet...don't know it there will be.
There are plenty of posts regarding XP64 out there...take a look and then check if it really worths it.
I own almost the same laptop (MX7515) and see no value upgrading...at least to X64...Linux would be another story.
    Good luck!

I say dont upgrade to x64 the speed incease isn't tremendous because little programs are desinged for 64-bit and some wont even work.
Most driver won't work x64, so maybe the quicklaunch drivers might fail to install.
