My 7805 does not come with any disc, i.e. no dvd, cd, nothing. I know we can make backup and restore discs.
There is a Windows Vista Anytime Upgrade option in Systems, but it links to a MS site which tells you to buy different versions of Vista.
My question is "Does my HD contain a version of Vista Anytime Upgrade image that I can burn to a DVD?"
I don't know if Gateway sell this disc or any disc to owners of the 7805.
I know I can buy it off Ebay and I have a couple of Vista discs around but they are of the 32 bit variety.
I am not talking about key or activation, just about the vista disc.

I got it mine from here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/2057/ordermedia/default.mspx

marc, do you own a 7805? I entered the product key at the bottom of my laptop and MS says "no offer found".
How did you do it? -
From another thread I found out that the key on the bottom is generic/useless. Use a program like jellybean's keyfinder http://magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/
to find the key installed.
But I just tried my key and I get an error on the page -different than the message from the key on the sticker.
Could be a server/site issue I guess.
