So I have extra copies of Ultimate (1 copy unused) and Business (2 copies unused) here and I'm having a hard time deciding which to install. On one hand, Business is just a nice bare bone OS with everything that I need out of the box and none of the stuff that I don't need, very much feels like using XP Professional to me and what I've used most of the time on my notebooks. But at the same time, I have Ultimate on my desktop, I have one more copy and I like some of the Ultimate extras and it looks like Windows 7 (which will find its way onto almost all my machines on release) is only about a year and a half off so I won't need to be as reserve about using it. I don't really use the Media Center and that's about it with the exceptions of the extras, in terms of differences that concern 'me'. I was using just Business on my desktop until I got Ultimate.

Some may call me a snob when it comes to Vista, Business is enough for me and I will only use Ultimate because it has all the Business feature, hence the only 2 versions I'll consider are Business or Ultimate. For everyone else Home Premium is fine...infact for some Home Basic is fine cause they turn off all Vista features anyways (never understood why they even bother spending the cash for more, Home Basic $50 or less great deal in my book if you need just a basic OS).

Nothing, I was hoping someone would make up my mind for me, but I ended up having this discussion with a friend yesterday night and ended up going with Ultimate because I have nothing better to do with this copy.

Ultimate? Ack why Ultimate of all choices?

Ultimate is THE most bloated version of Vista one could hope for. More crap and nonsense than you can shake a stick at....
