I own a P7811-FX. I can't figure out why the slider stopped working. Did it just die? Did I disable it? The rest of the multimedia control panel works fine except for the volume slider.

I've done a fresh install of the OS a month ago and had no problems up until I tried to adjust the volume a few days ago and found it not repsonding. Prior to that, it worked fine.

I was just playing WoW and went to turn down the volume. Bam. No response.

It's not even lighting up which leads me to believe it crapped out on me.

Nah i dont think its the bios, go to device manager, and do a "scan for hardware changes" sometimes that makes the os re install drivers (dont ask me, thats a common glitch i notice on windows machines.

If that dosent work, do a system restore. to a fewdays before the slider stoped working.

    report back please.

Oh ok, im not trying to hijack the thread but do you have to download some sort of drivers to get it to work while playing games?
