As the title states, running a stock 7811-FX, current score is about 8800. Tips?

Install XP, overclock your video with ATITool .27b4, search for info on LOD tweaks etc. I got a 9800 with a reasonable overclock on a P-7805 (same unit, more VRAM but shouldn't matter for the purposes of 3dmark) with suicide clocks and LOD tweaks etc I'm sure I could EASILY break 10k, but frankly I could care less, I want to know what this thing will do every day, not when I push it way beyond whats reasonable. Or upgrade your cpu, 3dmark06 has several cpu dependent sections and a T9XXX or P9XXX cpu with XP would probably get you there. Or don't worry so much about an artificial # in an artificial benchmark.

I second upgrading your CPU... itll give the biggest boost without completely sacrificing your GPU

CPU upgrade is necessary to break 10k @ default 3dmark settings. I scored around 9800-9900 with my 7811 using stock CPU, and an extreme OC on the GPU. I scored almost 12k with the x9100 dropped in. :) Not saying you need an x9100 - but anything more than the P8400 will do it.

15 more mhz on the core and a couple minor tweaks got me a whopping ONE POINT, lol, 9801. I'd say it'd be a steep hill to climb to get another 2000 points being unable to OC the cpu, if there was a way to do that these things would break 10k no sweat I'm sure.

well the highest Iv'e ever gotten is in my sig and that was only propping up the back of the system, maybe if I had some kick a** cooling i could get a few more points but 10k without any upgrades just doesn't seem doable to me.

He shouldn't have Tzs0 problems with a P9600 should he? Doesn't seem to be nearly as much of an issue on the 7805 anyways and he's not adding thermal load with the P series?

With my P9600 and modest overclocking I got 10222, so you should have no trouble breaking 10k. :)
