    Warped keyboard? P-6831FX

    If you look at the front of the machine from the level of the keyboard, do you notice the surface is somewhat warped? (look at the spacebar) The whole front seems to bow upwards slightly in the center about where the latch is. I have an Acer that is a little like this also (but the notebook is much thinner, so not as noticeable).

    Mine isn't like this, but I have noticed that the media center keys do arch down a bit for mine. This is at the very tip of the base, right infront of the
    |<< ; >>| and mute key. Very subtle but it does annoy me a bit.

    Actually, mine looks like that too. The middle of the keyboard (around the right side of the spacebar area) kinda goes down. But it has no affect on the keyboard, so i'm fine with it.

    my FX looks normal. i noticed some bulging of the whole keyboard near the center on my XPS m1530 though.

    Yep mine is like that too. Take out the hard drive and see if you see a difference. Not that it really matters.

    Mine is like that around the edges. It affects the keyboard in no way, so it doesn't really matter.

    Mine is not like that either. However if the keyboard really seems warped to you I would recomend exchanging it for another one or having it replaced. A warped keyboard just does not seem right to me.I had a laptop once that was exposed to heat and the keyboard and some of the keys became warped.But if it camefrom the store that way I would be exchanging it for another one.

    Mine's not like that either, but I have noticed the left shift key is a little finicky. I have to make sure I put more pressure on it than just "clicking" the key down for it to be effective... It's very noticeable since left shift is used for sprinting in a lot of games.

    Update:

    My keyboard IS warped by the F4/F5 key. It is different than the photos in this topic. I originally thought it was NOT.

    I think this may be the worst built laptop I've ever owned. I've had Dells and Toshibas that show none of the flex and overall finish problems this one has.

    Good thing it has some amazing components for the price. I'll never rely on it for anything important...just games and fun.

    My current one is like this too it was made January. The first one I had was fine (it was bought in jan so must have been made in dec/nov).

    I just noticed it. Kind of annoying now that I know it's there.
