    Webcam won't open?

    I have a gateway m-1625 and recently my webcam refuses to turn on always saying "Stream Read Error"
    What could this be & what options do I have for fixing it?

    i imagine your running the chicony drivers. i found that by switching to acer crystal eye webcam drivers the problem was resolved. this was awhile ago though, kinda surprised gateway still hasnt fixed their drivers.
