Just curious what CPU's people have successfully installed in their P-7811fx and is there an official list? I haven't found one yet.

Well as far as I know any of the socket P CPU with a FSB of 1066Mhz will work, except for the quad core processors. The quads aren't confirmed yet, there was one report of a Q9000 not working in a 7811 or 7805, but there are rumors (and only rumors) that one of the newer BIOS will finally unlock quad core support, something I'm waiting for. The 2 top (most popular) CPU for the 7811 are the P9600 (best battery and power) and T9800 (best power for price).

    Thanks!

Looking at the P9600, the Dell Studio 13 comes with the P9600. That's one amazing little laptop!

Guess I'll have to wait a bit for prices to drop and/or for quad core support. For the most part I think the P8400 is more than adequate for any game out there.
