I have tried RivaTuner...Ntune...Powerstrip...Nothing seems to oc my 8800m gts...I get weird clock readings when I open the programs, which, I would assume is due to them not being mobile compatible.. GPU-z is reading them correctly as stock defaults...
Ntune also gives me a bsod...
I am using a fresh install of Vista Home Premium x64 with SP1, all updates. Graphics driver is the lv2g 177.89.
How did you get yours to work?
-
Did you use this version of Ntune ? http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=19402 It works for me and everyone else i believe but i still think ntune sucks for OC but we have 0 choice in the matter.
-
ntune works just fine
-
I will try this right now..thank you very much...I'll let you know how it goes...
What kind of clock speeds are you running at? Rec any programs to monitor temps as well? Thank you so much -
use gpuz or cpuidhwmonitor
-
600/800/1250 is what i have mine set at, some people have alot of luck cranking the shader clock up but when i do and game for more then 10 minutes my screen gos black and i have to manually reboot.

Nvidia Performance Toolsies. Or nTune for short.
-
nTune is the easiest me thinks.
-
Thank you Quadzilla..The link to the download worked wonders..have my 8800 clocked to 600/1500/800 and stable..my 3dmark 06 is now at 9236. Cant beleive the performance im getting out of this 6860fx. Not too bad for 850 smackers...Thanks so much again, couldn't be happier!

Glad to help.

you can run that memory closer to 900 for sure, give it a try.

I'm not insulting your intelligence by any means..but...Are you sure? haha

177.73 atm . Try bumping the memory down to 850 then and see if you still get a black screen after abit of time. i really wish my card was as OC friendly as others were because when you start tapping the shader clock your FPS can go up by large amounts. If we could only bios flash and increase voltage id be set but alas our built in motherboard cards may never allow this.
-
thx quadzilla, hey what do you mean with 177.73 (ATM) where can I get it?
-
lol. ATM=At the moment.
And this should help. -
What are you using to OC youre GPU?
