I know this may be in the wrong section, but I just wanted to get what you guys use since most of you own the laptop or similar models.

So onto the actual topic, so I have the P7805u and boy does it get hot. My GPU downclocks a lot when playing games and hits peaks of 106 degrees. I was wondering what cooler I should get that is available in Canada. I saw the SF-19 and instantly fell in love with it, except for those ugly gray rubber pads.

    Thanks for you response!

Your GPU shouldn't get that hot... I think the highest I've seen mine has been about 60c or so. I idle at about 40c.

    Should clean that out some.

I don't have a cooler per say for mine yet. but I'm using one from my old G51VX. Don't have the fans on it anymore so it's more to get it off the table/surface and let airflow get underneath.

Correct, that is WAY TOO HOT!!!!!!! I use a NC2000 but there is better out there. Time to clean that out, if air alone doesn't get it down to acceptable temps then it is time to dissasemble and repaste. That is so long as the fans are working properly. If not time for new fans as well...........

I'm pretty sure the fans are working, I hear them fine. I am going to a local computer store to see if they can give it a good dusting off and probably some new paste. I might as well get a cooler just to be sure, I don't want my laptop getting that hot. Sad thing is, I'm pretty sure it deformed my build as well, the top part of the laptop looks like it has lifted up a bit and you can press it down and it won't stay. :(

Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Notebook Cooling Model NotePal U2 (R9-NBC-8PBK-GP)
That's the cooler I had for my Asus.
I like it cause the fans could be clipped anywhere on the bottum so you could put them where they would best benefit.

Then my wife tossed my laptop with the cooler attached across the kitchen. Broke the pins on one of the fans and since they are attached together with the same wire I can't use the fans. But I still have my new 7805 sitting on it and it helps get airflow underneath.

    Edit:
I think I'm going to order this one on friday.

looks to be an updated one made for 17-19" laptops and has the 3 fans instead of 2.

NCIX offers a price match, and I've heard they're a reputable seller, do you think I should get that or just go for something else like DirectCanada or even Amazon?

EDIT: Amazon is better w/ Shipping costs added on so I might go with them if I settle on buying the cooler.

2nd EDIT: What are your thoughts on the SF-19 it seems like such an awesome looking cooler, aesthetics are a plus as well. :)
