    Hi,

I got a gateway netbook and i dont know what to do with the Recovery Drive.

    1. Do i burn it to a DVD-R? (using external drive)
    2. Do i burn/copy it to a USB?
    3. Do i need to do 1 or 2 at all or i can recover with the Hard Drive partition in the future in case of trouble? How do i recovery from the partition?

    Thanks!!

Its always best to leave a recovery partition alone. This is needed to restore your computer to factory defaults, or to repair an installation if need be. Most manufacturers choose to include a recovery partition rather than recovery media (cd, dvd, etc) now a days.

It never hurts to burn a backup dvd. Many manufacturers include a uttility that will allow you to easily create a backup dvd. If not, a simple google search of your model should return some pretty simple directions to do so.

If you have trouble finding directions, or need any other help, feel free to reply and i'll guide you further if i can :)
