As per spec on bestbuy's website P-7811FX uses DDR3 RAM but when I run PCMark05 on my system it shows that laptop is using DDR2 RAM so how can I find out what type of RAM is used in P-7811FX. Should I take it back to Bestbuy or is PCMark05 is reporting it wrong ? I tried running online scan from crucial.com but crashes system.
Also what is good diagnostic / benchmark program for P-7811FX. I'm happy with everything except fact that P8400 with 4GB DDR3 is not feeling any different from XPS1330 T8400 with $GB DRR2 RAM.

Download and run CPUID it should tell you the info your searching for.

Your running 4gb of 1066DDR3 RAM though if it makes you feel better.

The reason you don't notice a difference in the RAM speed is because DDR3 is basically worthless (except the really nice power savings) We have yet to max out the capacity of 667mHz RAM yet so upgrading to a "faster" RAM is largely a waste of effort. Plus the speed increase you get from the 1066 FSB is basically killed by the horrible latencies the RAM is more than likely carrying

Thank [enter name of omnipotent and/or mythic entity of choice here] you changed your pic from that fat woman! Talk about a "resource hog..." Seriously, looking at that just about made me hurl. I'd rather cuddle up with the cute little puppy - how adorable - any day! Woof woof, here Fido!

Here is living proof it's DDR3 1066mhz. This was pulled from my own P-7811FX. I got the same error with CPU-Z reporting it was DDR2, but when I hit the "SPEED" tab, it showed it as DDR3 RAM.
