    For the 9800m GTS.

    I know there's a point at the video out stops working or did they fix that again?

    I would use whatever is being made available from Gateway Support Site. If you feel adventurous then try some of the ones from laptopvideo2go site

    Is it not good to use the latest WHQL drivers direct from Nvidia?

    A lot of the newer drivers don't really do anything for our older cards. So there's a point at where somethings even get broke or made worse with newer drivers...

    I know at least for my old ASus G51, I had to use a certain driver version to get the HDMI out to work.

    I am running the current 280.26 WHQL driver from nVidia. No problems or issues here.

    Does your HDMI out and everything work? I haven't tried mine in awhile. I'm also going to update to the newest drivers as I'm going to test out the Battlefield 3 beta on my laptop.
