Looking to upgrade from 1440x900 to full HD resolution. Can anyone reccomend a good screen and where to purchase one?

Lots of screens on eBay. To keep it simple, get another Samsung screen in the same family but at the desired resolution. (IE: LTN170CT05-F01, LTN170U1-L01, etc.)

dell specific screens come with the brackets spot welded to them and the inverter screwed on. Bit fiddly to pry off the brackets but still doable.

I wasnt too confident attempting such a thing so I had to settle for a Samsung LTN170WU-L02 (no brackets; direct drop in replacement) rather than my preferred option of LP171WU3B2 in my p7805u.
