    Which driver version?

I have been using dox's 182.05 drivers for forever, but recently my games have been freezing randomly and im sure its a driver issue. I'm in need of another stable/good-performing driver.

Is it a final release and not a beta? I guess the word beta keeps me away, maybe I'm just being dumb too lol.

Im wondering what tool can be used in order to flash the bios. it is a little bit boring to set the clocks each time when i install windows. Besides did you change the cooling system on your gpu? Is it worth being done? I mean: changing the fan and paste

ummmm if you really really really reallyyyyyy want to flash you save your gpu bios with gpu-z, open them up in NiBiToR 5.2 and change the "extra" clocks to what you want then flash in dos with Nvflash, but nVidia performance tools sets the clocks to at startup 0.o
Don't know why you have to set the clocks every time.

And NiBiToR wont help any voltage changes, at best you can set the 3D setting to 1.12v instead of 0.9v but extra is already on 1.12v and thats the setting youre in while gaming.....

and to change the gpu paste is, very very very time consuming and quite a grueling task.... but hell, ICD7 was worth it, I rarely go over 65 OC'd

Yeah same, the speeds in games are the same as DoX's drivers too, personally I get a 75pointish higher scores on 3dmark06.

I flashed my bios with 1.18v instead of 1.12v.

I can not always do best than 725/950/1850

    Extra voltage change nothing :/

the best i can do without any voltage mods is 700 gpu/900 mems/ 1740 shaders
so i suppose that i dont need any extra voltage
so does it mean that i can flash my 9800gts bios?

yep you can with nibitor and nvflash

but it's seems to be useless to increment the voltage :/

Running stock here. I'm in no particular hurry to see if I'm a "lucky one" when it comes to a defective G94, and I'm still warrantied, but the BB one, so I've got to be "careful."

You need the last version of nibitor (5.2). Then you need to select device then read bios into nibitor.

    725/950/1850

Everything seems to work fine like that. I was thinking about getting something new anyhow though. Its still not as much performance as id like tho.

But I cant complaign only spending $800 at bestbuy for it.

I was thinking about getting the new 7915, Or the M17x.. just not sure how much i actually need and can use before its overkill.

    725/950/1850
when i set my gpu to 725 it is too hot
on the other hand when shaders are at 1850 i get artifacts and glitches
    :(

damn, i tried without my notebook cooler on a "hot room", the 725/950/1850 is not stable.

    Back to 700/900/1800

    Aka w7 protection
to get the bios you have to use GPU-Z, there is a little icon on the right to save your gpu bios.

Just undervolted my 2d clocks from 0.9v to 0.8v, and 15min est longer battery life WOOT! No luck with turning off fans completely :\

Yeah, I went up to 1.25v and I managed to squeeze out 30 more shader clocks and 10ish core clocks... (710/925/1855)
Its not worth it at all, esp with higher temps (+7C~ish)
You cannot get much more out of this card by overvolting. Looks like this train is already going top speed :(

My clocks are 720/915/1825 and these are the highest stable clocks for maximum performance in gaming.
If I try to go over any of these values, there will be instability, either from artifacts popping up, or temperatures going over the maximum acceptable temperatures for the 9800m gts on my machine.

I've been playing BFBC2 @ these settings and it's extremely smooth, much more so than I would have thought before purchase.

At these settings the temperature usually stays below or just around the 90 degree area, it's hot, but the amazing performance is worth it.

I've made a few videos on Youtube showing off the game and how it's playing on my laptop, check 'em out :)

i just recently started overclocking my GPU, because i wanted to break 10k on 3dmark06, i could only get about 9815 with everything stock but using forceware/DOX drivers.

my specs are Gateway iPower GX

    P8700 @ 2.53Ghz stock
    9800M GTS @ 700/915/1725
    4GB RAM
    500GB WD 7200RPM

3dmark score is now 10366 :), i thought about maybe OCing the cpu but not sure. i am using a notebook cooling pad as well btw.

and temps are about 71c max on the gpu, and 68 on cpu. but with the cooling pad they go down to 28-40 in no time.
