So I'm looking for a new laptop and I stumbled upon the M-6850FX by Gateway ---> http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8790828&type=product&id=1205537513321 But it's not being sold anymore at Best Buy. I was however able to find this laptop at some other third party type stores, but they are a little bit more expensive. However, I did notice on this forum the news about how there is to be a new FX P-series coming out very soon but was dismayed to see that there was no news on the M-series. So I guess my real question is, Does Gateway plan on making another FX M-series line like the P-series? I would like to know whether I should just buy the laptop off the other third party website or wait for the newer version to come out, that is, if it's going to.

Yes. Someone has found some supporting documentation on gateway.com showing the m-fx series is due a refresh.

    Yup...

    We discuss it Here

As Lakjin mentioned, that unit is NOT a montevina refresh - Matter of fact, I think the only difference is a slightly faster CPU.
