I found this online, and actually P-7812jfx is a upgraded P-7811. With Bluray, Bluetooth, T9400, 320GB-5400 HD, and a price of 1,761 USD. It's really worth to have it~ What do you guys think?

I could tell you if I could read japanese.

But alas, I can't. -

At the BB sale price of $1250 for the 7811, it is still a better choice.
*You can upgrade to a Blu-ray drive for about $330.
*You can get an external Bluetooth dongle for $15.
*I'd rather have the faster 200 GB drive than a slower 320.
*Also, the 7811 has 4GB of DRAM as compared to the 3 GB on the 7812.
*Finally, the T9400 looks to be only 10% faster than the P8400, but is likely less power efficient and I prefer the longer battery life.
Just my thoughts,
Ira -

lol me neither. Seems good though, at a great price from Gateway as usual.
 -

thanks for your responses. Yes,I can upgrade to as high as a like. Nice~

This was posted for the FIRST time like 3-4 weeks ago... then multiple times after. Please search before creating a new thread.
 -

Why don't you let a mod deal with issues like this rather than clogging up threads with bossy "please use the search" posts. Plus I didn't know the full spec and price of the P-7812j so this thread was quite informative.
 -

You should be posting that on 7811 threads not 7812...
secondly, have you TRIED using the search button? its horrible. -

This is actually the computer I pre-ordered. I hope it runs ok.
 -

lol exactly, have you seen ALL THE 7811 THREADS! If I was a MOD i would have destroyed them, down in the hole they go.
 -
 type: "gateway 7812" / press search /
first result " P-7812j FX Notebook Specifications"
full spec on first post and 3 page discussion.
we need a mod -

sorry I didn't know it takes a mod to make a suggestion about common sense. that post could not be more hypocritical... saying to let a mod deal with issues instead of making a bossy post? and that post itself was... not bossy? don't worry, next time I won't "clog" up the thread with my whole ONE posts. if you didn't know the full specs, you could have easily searched it (see royk's post) or simply went to the gateway website...
i've tried and it worked. try using it intelligently.
exactly. -

 That was a general statement.
I did not say that searching for the 7812 will bring up nothing of use.
Thx. -

I never said that the OP should not have used the search tool first - he probably should have. Nor did I say the search tool would not bring up the appropriate topic he was looking for, it obviously will/did. I said the search tool was horrible, not useless. Regardless of the circumstances, you don't get to harass a NRB newcomer, thats what mods are for.
You yourself have made a new thread on an issue that was already being discussed in an older thread, even after you were involved in the older one:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=279616
http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=281627
If you were joking I understand. I even made a thread a few weeks ago, asking people to stop making 7811 threads, in a joking manner (it was locked before I could clarify my intentions
). Otherwise, lets not play mod here okay?

Thx. -

Lol, so I very specifically comment that the OP should have used the search feature before posting. Then you quote my specific comment and ask if I've tried using the search feature because it's horrible. Then as soon as the results of such a simple search are pointed out, your statement was suddenly just a "general" statement... lol... in response to my specific comment.... which you both quoted and questioned... right. It's obvious (and funny) that you didn't even try to use the search feature in regards to this thread before asking me if I've tried it. It's also pretty funny how you and animal try to exaggerate my post to be "clogging" or "harassing." It was a single post, 1-2 lines long, I wish animal would explain how that is "clogging." As to the "harassing" (lol..), I said something that is a dozen times here on the forums every day. The fact that the OP is a newcomer warrants the comment even more, because maybe he did not know that such a simple tool existed and can be used to keep the forums less cluttered, something which you yourself advocate. You simply (and wrongly) assumed that the context in which it was posted was aggressive, or an attack. Good try though. And you don't have to be a mod to care about the state of the forums' organization, and yet you hypocritically "play mod" (sorry but when you were little, did you have your friends over to play mod? just curious lol) while telling someone else that they shouldn't "play mod".
Second, there's a huge difference between what I did and what this newcomer did. If you look at my posts (did you even look at my posts? oh and did you find them using the "horrible" search button? lol) you'll see that I created the second thread knowing that the first existed, even pointing this out. I explained why I was creating the second thread, and went further to provide specs showing the differences between the two notebooks to further aid the question. It specified the question to a further extent, bumped it, and was an extremely specific comparison between two computers. Whereas the OP's post in this thread is "I found this online, and actually P-7812jfx is a upgraded P-7811. With Bluray, Bluetooth, T9400, 320GB-5400 HD, and a price of 1,761 USD. It's really worth to have it~ What do you guys think?" So he's posting specs to something we've seen, and asking... quite generally and simply.... what we think about it. If he's curious what people think about the 7812, [looks at search bar], if he wants to know something specific about the model, maybe that would warrant a new post. Do you see the difference?
P.S. you shouldn't say thanks before allowing the person you're talking to time to respond.... it's poor etiquette. Really. But... you're welcome?

You win. Your right, Im wrong. Happy? Im done with this.
Thx.
