WiC not working

i start the game with settings on high. ran benchmark was a bit lower than that of narsnail http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=217805. with my highest fps being 50 and his being 58, but are two lows were both 9. i am in the first mission and after completing first check point it freezes the game. i close it and says fatal error not enought ram. does this mean i need to do a clean install of vista? or is there something else i need to do?

 

Have you tried testing the memory by using memtest in the guide section of the forums or entering memory into the search with vista and running the memory diagnostics?

 

no errors reported by memory diagnostics. memtest 3.6 didnt find errors either. i got a 7003 in 3dmark06 if that helps any. it makes me think though that there has to be a problem with my RAM if others with the same laptop were able to play

 

the game freezes at the exact point during play. i waited after an explosion to see if that would help but as soon as i progressed a little further it freezes and i have to exit. using taskman i found that at that point WiC was using over 2.1GB of Memory. that seems like way to much.

EDIT: googled my problem and found it to be very common especially with users with great graphics cards playing on high. has anyone else played WiC besides narsnail?

 

I have WiC and ive had no promblems, im using recommend settings with DX10 turned on.

Im way passed the first misson (i started playing on my desktop) but i could go back and see if maye its just that mission. I'll post results later today.
