    Will 6860's bios allow 3.0+ cpu overclocking at any point in the future?

    just curious to know if the x7900 or x9000 will be able to hit thier max oc mark at 3.2 and 3.4 respectively for our chips

    will thebios have to be modded? im not sure i would be comfortable using it then :)

    Nope we're pretty much stuck at 3.0gHz. Johnksss at one time tried to mod the BIOS, but i dont think anything came from it (except he was able to make it look like a 3.2... though it ran at 3.0 still)

    So except gateway having a HUGE change of heart or a BIOS master taking a crack at it (and BIOSMAN and WimsBIOS both were a bust) we're going to be hitting the 3.0 wall forever

    yeah i figured if anyone modded the bios, it would be him. ah well were lucky to be able to swap cpus in the first place anyways.
