...I bought a T9900 and just wanted to make sure it will work on my 7801u with the 9c.08.00 bios? Has anyone tried the T9900 on a system like mine or on the Bios I have 9c.08.00. I'd rather not change the bios. Mine works good.

    Thanks so much :)

Why not upgrade to the latest? I'm pretty sure the old BIOS is not optimized for larger L2 cache.

Well CitizenPanda I have only heard of problems with people that have upgraded there bios. I'd rather stick with the "If ain't broke don't fix it." attitude.

BTW what is the latest or best bios available for a 7801u?

    Thanks :)

Does anyone have a 7801u that's running a T9900. I'd like to know the bios you're using and if it runs well on that bios. If it works for you on your 7801u it should work on my 7801u system. I want it work on my current bios .08 or on a different bios that another 7801u with a T9900 that works well with.

    Thanks

I say stick it in and see, only way you will really know is if you try it yourself. If it doesnt work put the old one back in and upgrade the BIOS.

I'm curious 'bout that too. Sure would like to know some details and if a newer bios would benefit the performance from t9900 taking advantage of the larger L2 cache and other features the T9900 has.

    Thanks ;)
