just recieved a reply from the guy selling it.. here's what he said: It will work great in a P-7811. especially if you have the newest Bios updated. It will show up in Bios as Core 2 Extreme @ 2.26 Ghz and will list 4 individual processors in device manager. I have ran these in MSI notebooks and also Gateway P-7805 which is similar motherboard. Vista performance score will hit the roof!

I read in his description that the 7801u supports it, so .17 bios adds support (?), and the whole socket p' issue really isn't an issue at all?!
Gosh... Hopefully e-wrecked can find a way to extract that bios for us! -

I would try to see if you can get a second confirmation from someone else before taking one guys word for it. But do as you will.

Yeah i would want the opinion of someone not trying to get $300 off you. but if it wouldn't be a big hit to your wallet maybe you could be the one to tell us all if it works or not for sure...
