I now have my copy of Windows 7 upgrade for my P172x-FX. I'm going to perform a clean install but I had a question about drivers.

It's been said that for now the best drivers to use are the ones that Win7 ships with, save for the video driver.

Which nVidia driver is the best to use right now?

Are there any drivers that are a "must" to install beyond the Win7 supplied driver? I believe there was mention of the card reader driver. What about the finger print scanner or anything else? I've looked over the Vista drver installation list here but I don't know if it's all that applicable to Win7 if the Win7 drivers are indeed the preferred drivers.

If someone could supply a list of drivers to get and where to get them, that would be great!

    Thanks!

    R

I've looked through the forums but for the most part I am just seeing that drivers included with Win7 are working.

Anyone have any comments or tips on the above?

Honestly the only thing i didnt allow Win7 to do itself on my 6860 was the GPU driver and the media card driver (got the media card from Gateway's vista drivers and the GPU driver from nVidia)

It should go relativly flawless for you.
