I just installed the Windows 7 RC and it's working pretty well overall. I am having a couple of issues though. I will occassionally lose sound, My WiFi connection seems to be really sluggish, And I can't find any working drivers for my HD.

The HD seems to be owrking fine but I'd really like to find some drivers that can fix the issues with the WiFi and Sound. Does anyone know where I can find such drivers? Thanks a ton in advance for any help.

Which RC did you get 7100 runs out of the box with my 6860 with zero issues (sans the oddball BSOD)

It's 7100. I think the WiFi issue was actually just a fluke happenstance of problems with comcast at the time I upgraded. The only REAL issue is the sound. I'm trying the updated Realtek drivers for Windows 7 that were updated today. We'll see how they do.

The issue with the sound not working seems to be an issue with the driver INF, as I had the same issue with my P-172 X FX (Normally sound stopped working when coming out of sleep). If you follow the guide at http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=23790 on how to modify the correct portion of the INF this will fix your issues. You will need a copy of the original drivers from gateway so you can pull the information out of. If you have any issues I can probably throw a modified INF for the 6860 together if you need me to.

Downloading the correct IDT audio drivers fixes the sound issue.

I still can't get them to work right. When I start up the sound works fine for awhile then goes out. If I uninstall and reinstall the drivers it works fine again for awhile. Repeat as neccessary. I'd be mighty appreciative if you could toss up that modified INF you mentioned. Thanks in advance.

My sound is still a bit wonky when I watch something full screen. Also, after my system goes into sleep and comes back out I have to uninstall the sound and reinstall before it will work.
