    Hi. There are plenty of games which require win98SE. Ok I know that there are some compatibilty options, DOSboxes etc but I would like to have 98SE on my Gateway. is it possible? I heard that the biggest problem is with SATA HDD detection? Right?

    Correct, but you could download Virtual Box and run 98 as a virtual machine. It would work perfect that way.
