    Windows7 Home Premium needs to format using XP professional

    Hi

    I bought Gateway desktop. They installed Windows7 Home premium. But I want format windows7 and install XP professional.

    Did any body know please help me.

    erm just install XP Pro on the same partition as Win7 - the install process will provide you with an option to format the drive prior to XP setup.

    Bascially, you'll be deleting Win7 from the HDD partition with the quick format which you can then use to install XP on.

    (You need an XP professional CD/DVD though)

    If you are going to throw out a good system for a clearly worse one, why not go with win98? I would just swap in another drive and install it on that and leave win 7 on that one.
