I'm curious as to how many gamers on this forum use external peripherals with their P-7811FX. I'm only talking about Mice / Keyboards / Monitors?

My friend has a Compaq laptop and he uses all three.. and I enjoyed it a lot when I was at his house.. It just doesn't make much sense to have a laptop and ignore the biggest pro of it being so mobile.

So... what do you use? Mouse? Mouse and Keyboard? Mouse, Keyboard, and Monitor?

Vx nano here as well and thats about it . i dont like having a bunch of stuff tethered to my laptop as to me it defeats the purpose of having a laptop all together . i want to be able to grab it and go and not have to unplug a bunch of stuff as i move mine around quite abit .

I don't move mine too often..it may as well be a desktop. Unless I wanna smoke, and watch some youtube..I may carry it over to the kitchen bar. This Vx nano..must be something I missed out on. I use MS Wireless Laser Mouse 6000; would prefer bluetooth. Targus Cooling Desk?(pic below). Occasionally hookup to 42" Phillips LCD as my monitor. BlacX sata docking station(for imaging with Acronis). Logitech USB AudioHub-great supplement to the sub-par speaker system a la gateway..and double as USB hub. Kinda bulky tho, not meant for a lap. When all of this crap is put together, my 7811FX looks like a Transformer.. But, normally just the mouse and targus cooler is in use. :)

That mouse just feels awkward. I tested it out in BB the day I bought mine. Just didn't 'mesh' with my bigger hands.

Hey, finally a topic I'm comfortable enough to post in!

I'm using the Logitech G9 for my mouse.
For gaming I use the Wolfking Warrior gamepad.

As far as other things I plug in for my 7811:

I've got a Rosewill cooler. (This fits the 7811 perfectly!)
    The Logitech G51 speaker system.
    And a APC 7-port USB 2.0 hub.

And a really boring small Wal-Mart mouse pad. Ha.

Speaking of the VX Nano, anyone else having consistency issues with theirs? For example, I set the "back button" to be my reload.....sometimes I have to hit the button 5 or more times to get it to work. But the buttons work fine in firefox and in windows in general.

    - Logitech VX Revolution
    - Saitek Cyborg Command Pad

I have a Zalman NC-2000 cooling pad that's mainly used for our Alienware m9750 since the Gateway manages heat much, much better. Also around here is a lapdesk that I picked up from Staples for like $30; adjustable height, lightweight and comfortable, spacious and with a built-in (but very crappy) reading light. I must say I love my Command Pad - even though it's corded, it makes gaming a LOT more responsive and comfortable, as I can have my left hand in just about any position. I'm looking for a nice pair of bluetooth headphones since my old BlueAnt X5's were layed to rest by a tempermental bulldog hiding under the kitchen table....eyeing my sandwich....that lil' *******...

I use a MX1000 bluetooth from the MX5000 with a micro bluetooth reviever I bought off of ebay. It was the half moon one for ~$13 shipped. It also works great for syncing my phone and stereo bluetooth headphones, thought I have now went to a set of seins. I also use a 500GB external E-SATA with an Antec MX-1 enclosure. That is it. I have a 22" Dell but have never hooked it up.
