I followed the instructions to re-installed Vista 64 on my P-7811FX but I screwed up a little bit by re-installing that stupid eBay Shortcut crap and when I google it I found a link that is suppose to remove it but it looks like it's an older removal guide?

    The link is: support.gateway.com /s/software/misc/A20239-003-001/A20239-003-001si3.shtml

I think it's only the shortcut but I remember seeing some registry value on the Recovery Disk for the eBay thing, should I worry... I'm trying to get as clean a re-install of Vista as I can get it.

I know, I'm anal about it,
    Phong.

It's just a shortcut but even shortcuts come with registry values. If it bothers you that much (I'm anal too don't worry) you can delete the shortcut, then open up registry editor (click start> type regedit in search bar, hit enter) then to a "find" in registry editor for "ebay" and delete the associated string(s). Be careful with what you delete, maybe sure whatever you delete is actually associated with that shortcut, etc.

p.s., you should use a freeware program called CCleaner regularly. I'm thinking that once you delete the shortcut the program might even delete the registry value for you.

    Kewlio, thanks Jak.

EDIT: I just ended up just re-installing Vista again as I was a bit paranoid about missing something... hehe, I think I'm a bit OCD.

If you were OCD, you'd reinstall about 6 times or more throughout the day, just to be sure. :)
