    hi

    i'd like to access the factory recovery partition through the D drive on my gateway.
    the gateway website recommends pressing f8 after booting up and get to recovery thru 'repair computer' . but i cant get to recovery through this.

    i've tried f8 f10 f11 and f12. all of these keys take me back into vistas log in window.

    help!
