    you could try inivisibleshield....they got great review with their product so far.dont know if they have one for the p series laptops. if not, they can guide you on getting the measurement for your lappy and custom make you a protective shield.

    I just had a chat with one of their reps and they said that the two were not 100% identical and that the P-6301 shield would not fit the P-6831FX.

    I haven't got my 172X in yet, but I took a look at Best Buy to see what they look like up close. I didn't really like the design on the back so I started to look for something to put on it. I'm going to be ordering a skin from Schtickers. They have a pretty good price from what I've seen. Plus their stickers are easily removed and replaced at whim. They also do custom dimensions and designs. I'm going to either get the flat black one or the suede black one, I like feely things.

    The other site I found was SkinIt. They have more designs it seems, but I don't really like any of them very much and they are more expensive. Their Skins are not reusable and they don't offer custom sizes. Though they do offer a custom skin creator like Schtickers that seems to be a bit more user friendly. By the way, both SkinIt and Schtickers say their stickers are durable enough to protect the top of your laptop.

    I'll be ordering my Schticker soon, I'll post and let you know how the quality is when I get it.
