Does anyone know how to change the Logon background screen. I've read a few different pages and did what they said. make sure its under 256KB, and create a info folder in the oobe folder, then create a backgrounds folder int he info folder and put the pic in there, and restart, and everything would be good. but it never worked..I want to do it without downloading a program ..

I finally got it changed.. it was a simple matter of creating a DWORD in the registry and two folders in the oobe folder to override the OEM background. just used gimp to resize the pic i wanted to use, named it background default, saved it to the proper folder and there it was.
