Just installed T9300 for 6860Fx and it is 100% better, actually plays better than my desktop at high/very high settings.

I tried to benchmark using some free software 3dMarks?

Which ones are you experts using for this computer?
The ones I got either don't work with direct X10 or have problems with the screen resolution or have issues with vista 64.

The CPU test is especially slugglish with the software but it is lighting fast when I play games and my Vista scores are high.

I didn't overclock, using supplied nVidia driver, everything else stock except the 9300 which is not the problem.

Go to this site and download the free version of 3dmark06. For Video card testing/benchmarking it,s the best and it's the benchmark that everyone refers to. But consider if you plan on doing alot of tweaking buying the advance version (only 19.95). You get allot for that price.

Also on that same site you can get Pcmark. A great program to eval your computer in more than just games.

if your using 3dmark06...the cpu test is suppose to be slow. unless of course you have dual zeon quads, then i will pick up a bit. so dont worry about that one. you should be more concerned with you gpu. i used 175.63 and this driver does wonders for the 8800m gts.

practically benchmark doesn't mean a lot, how much FPS is increased, let's say for example, in crysis at the same setting?

I ran Fraps but its not showing me the FPS in Crysis, I think I'm doing something wrong.
    I'll try again
There is an icon in the upper right corner, program is working, I think I need to open a window?

I have a completely stock P172S Fx and I am getting a 7535 on 3dmark06. I was thinking that, that was a little low. Now I wanna upgrade my cpu. I am looking at the T9300, 319.00$ at newegg. Sounds too good.

I installed the T9300 in my P6860 and with stock drivers got a big increase in 3dmark 06. It went from 7456 to 8780. I was very satisfied with the results and in games the difference is also quite noticeable.
